NaNoWriMo 2021

I'm being a rebel this year and only aiming for 15k on The Fool Would Be King and A Bouquet of Nettles. I'm having serious RL issues and computer troubles so I don't want to put extra pressure on myself when what I really need is just a distraction. I really hope I can finish at least one of these stories before the end of the year.

ETA #1: One week in and while I'm a little behind, I've made some good progress on the next chapter of The Fool. It's weird trying to edit it when I'm supposed to be concentrating on hammering away at the keyboard but I want to update the story ASAP.

ETA #2: Two weeks in and I've caught up! I also switched to writing longhand because it seems to make getting words out easier and faster (usually). Making sure the wordcount is right is a pain in the ass, though.

ETA #3: My computer issues have been sorted out and I pulled ahead in the third week! Mostly because I shamefully started a new project. In my defense, I was sick of staring at the same project(s) I've been working on in the last week. That being said, I'm editing the next chapter of The Fool now. I'm not sure if I can upload it before the end of the month but that's the goal, even though certain parts of it refuse to get fixed.

ETA #4: It's done! I'm happy with what I've written, even though some of it is rough. The next chapter of The Fool is almost done and should be up soon. I'm getting the vaccine tomorrow so I expect some downtime but I really want to polish it up and post it.
